Quality Quarry Materials

Black Hill Quarry is situated in close proximity to the intersection of the F3 Freeway and John Renshaw Drive near the Beresfield Industrial Centre. This central location allows us to provide material to the Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock areas at a competitive price. We are able to provide the following materials from this location:

Sandstone Gravel

This material is ideal to be used for a rural road, driveway or building pad.

Shale

Due to its high clay content, our shale is able to be used as a clay liner to seal material from water and its effects (either getting in or getting out).

Sandstone Rock

Our sandstone rocks have been used extensively throughout the Hunter Valley as retaining walls and decorative rock. Their aesthetic qualities make them ideal for a variety of uses. Our sandstone rock has been used extensively at Hunter Valley Gardens. Please view the gallery below to see the many ways in which these rocks can be used to create a stunning visual effect.

Overburden

Can be used as a fill material as exemplified by its use in a number of large scale projects. Also suitable as compactable fill or under-slab fill.

We have provided these materials to a number of large projects including the overpass at the intersection of Weakleys Drive and the New England Highway Beresfield, Tomago Industrial Park, Fullerton Cove Retirement Village, the Third River Crossing at Maitland and numerous other projects in the Hunter area.

Any of these materials can be supplied as processed (crushed) or unprocessed (uncrushed). Please contact our office to talk to one of our experienced staff who can offer advice on what material suits your needs and provide you with a quote.

We have our own Truck and Dogs to accommodate delivery from any quarries in the surrounding area. Should you wish to purchase material we cannot supply from Black Hill, please contact us and we will provide you with a delivered price from these additional sources.
